Our principal, Deacon Joseph Rafferty, hails from Gloucester City where he served as the Superintendent of Schools from 2012 -2017, after serving as Superintendent for the Mount Ephraim School District from 2007-2012. He brings with him more than 35 years of educational leadership experience including his time spent at Gloucester City Junior-Senior High School, Gloucester Catholic High School, Mary Ethel Costello Middle School (Gloucester), William G. Rohrer Middle School, (Haddon Township) and St. Paul’s School (Burlington Township). He was ordained as a Deacon by the Diocese of Camden in 2012 and he is currently assigned to our very own St. Rose of Lima Parish in Haddon Heights. Deacon Rafferty was a Division I Football Scholarship Athlete at Rutgers University, where he played from 1979-1983. He has a wife, Barbara, and three sons, Joseph, Michael, and Patrick.
